Carolyn Sue Johnson

Carolyn Sue Johnson of Mountain City, TN passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2012 in Johnson City Medical Center. She was the daughter of Elsie Lucille Johnson and the late John Kermit Johnson and was born in Gauley Bridge, WV. Ms. Johnson was of the Methodist faith and loved working in her flowers, sewing and quilting. She earned her Bachelors and Master Degrees at Applachian State University in Boone, NC. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a brother Johnny Dean Johnson. Survivors in addition to her mother include: two brothers: Jack Johnson and wife Deloras, Mike Johnson and wife Polly, all of Mountain City, TN; five nieces: Jennifer Johnson of Arlington, VA; Caroline Johnson of Mountain City, TN; Belinda Hudson of Hickory, NC; Jackie Johnson of Mountain City, TN; and Julie Houck of Gibonsville, NC; one nephew: John Johnson of Lenoir, NC; and special great nieces and nephews: Cordell Kilgore, Kathryn Hudson, Victoria Hudson, Eli Morris, Sarah Morris, Allison Houck, Sara Johnson and Matthew Johnson. The family will receive friends Saturday, December 29, 2012 from 2:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. in the East Side Chapel of Hux-Lipford Funeral Home. Graveside service and interment will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 30, 2012 from Robert Lefler Cemetery. The family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday to go in procession to the cemetery.
