Carroll "Tom" Holden

On Saturday, May 16, 2015 Carroll "Tom" Holden went to meet the Lord at the age of 48. He was born May 6, 1967 to Jess and Elsie Holden. He was a member of Butler Baptist Church. Tom loved his music "all kinds", loved playing his musical instruments and singing with his Dad. He also loved fishing, watching Fred Sanford and Good Times but he loved a little boy named Liam that was his sunshine in the morning and his stars at night. Tom was loved by everyone who knew him. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and a loving uncle, Will Norris. In addition to his parents, he is survived by the love of his life for 15 years, Melinda Hollyfield; a son Joe Hollyfield and wife Kisha; two daughters: Linda Brown and husband Seth and Mary Jane Lewis and husband Bobby; two sisters: Debbie Townsend and husband Rick and Drema Arnold and husband Steve; grandsons: Liam Hollyfield, Nicky Lewis, Chris Beasley, Bently Brown; granddaughter: Shandi Lewis and a special niece that loved her Uncle Tom, Emily Ibarra and special nephew: Jessie Corum and wife Charlotte and children. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2015 from the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary Phillips officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Graveside service and interment will follow in Dugger Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Jeff Pass, Dave Daye, George Williams, Rick Townsend, Steve Arnold and Jess Corum. Honorary pallberers will be Johnny Norris, Adam Ward, Sammy Lunceford, Jim Wood and George Roark. At other times friends may call at the residence of Melinda Hollyfield, 484 Eastridge Road.
