Carson G. Trivette, age 89, of 2808 Big Dry Run Road, Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2005 at his residence. A native of Avery County, North Carolina, he was born on March 1, 1916 to the late Dudley J. and Winnie Norwood Trivette. In addition to his parents, Carson was preceded in death by his wife, Texie Mae (Moody) Trivette, one son, Lewis Grandville Trivette; one grandson, Dwayne Edward Barker; one son-in-law, Joseph Edward Barker; one sister and three brothers. He loved to read and study genealogy. Carson was a farmer and merchant. He served in the United States Army Battery "A" of the 41st Coast Artillery in the Hawaiian Islands. Carson is survived by one son, Carl D. Trivette and wife Dora Lee Trivette of Butler, Tennessee; one daughter, Joyce M. (Trivette) Barker of Bristol, Tennessee; one brother, Allen Trivette of Elk Park, North Carolina; four grandsons, Johnny Barker, Eric Trivette, Michael Trivette and Mark Trivette; two granddaughters, Angelia Seatz and Patricia Dillard and twelve great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral Services for Carson will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2005 from the Hux-Tetrick Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Quincy Norris to officiate. Military Graveside Services and Interment will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, 2005 from the Trivette Family Cemetery (Dry Hill Community)and will be accorded by the Johnson County Honor Guard. Active Pallbearers will be: Johnny Barker, Jason Seatz, Justin Seatz, Eric Trivette, Mark Trivette and Michael Trivette. Honorary Pallbearers are: John Arnold, Ronnie Trivette, Charlie Trivette and Members of the Johnson County Rescue Squad. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, prior to Services, at the Funeral Home Chapel. At other times, friends may call at the residence. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Johnson County Rescue Squad, 203 Vandilla Street, Mountain City, Tennessee 37683.
