Chadwick Lewis

Chadwick “Chad” Frank Lewis, age 32, of Vilas, North Carolina passed away Friday, January 23, 2009 in Watauga Medical Center, Boone, North Carolina. He is the son of Larry and Ruby Lewis of Vilas, North Carolina and Judy and Lance Hoppers of Granite Falls, North Carolina. Chad was of the Baptist faith and his hobbies included hiking.

 

Survivors include: father and stepmother: Larry and Ruby Lewis, of Vilas, NC; mother and stepfather: Judy and Lance Hoppers of Granite Falls, NC; one stepbrother: Lannie Hoppers of West Jefferson, NC; two nephews: Isaac and Landon Hoppers; several cousins, aunts and uncles. Special friends Renee Miller and Lena Rustrian also survive.

 

Funeral service for Chad Lewis will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 28, 2009 from the Charles B. Hux-Memorial Chapel of Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Horace Minton and Rev. Billy Carrier officiating. Graveside service and interment will follow in Flatwoods Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Greg Minton, Fisher Minton, Mason Minton, Roger Hartsog, Bobby Humphrey and Billy Trivette.  Honorary pallbearers will be Lannie Hoppers, Isaac Hoppers and Greg Humphrey. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
