Charles Joseph Baird

Charles Jody Baird, age 54, of 153 Hospital Road, Mountain City, went to be with the Lord, Friday, August 15, 2003, at his residence. He was a native of Johnson County and was born March 20, 1949 to the late Byron and Myra Denver Baird. He was preceded in death by a son, Charles Douglas Baird and a brother Byron Denver Baird. He was a supervisor at Burlington Industries and Sara Lee for over 20 years. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. Survivors: (1) Son: Derek and Wife: Tina Tilley Baird, Mountain City (4) Sisters: Marilyn Vaught, Piney Flats, TN Maretta Forrester, Piney Flats, TN Moveta Barlow, Mountain City Marlene Dodgion, Mountain City (1) Granddaughter: Patience Jodeci Baird, Mountain City Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Sunday from the chapel of the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Reid to officiate. Music will be under the direction of Randy Vaught. Burial will be in the Buchanan Cemetary. Friends may call at the residence of a sister, Moveta Barlow, at any time. Hux-Lipford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
