Charles Parker

Charles Parker, age 90, passed away Monday, October 13, 2025 at the Crown Cypress Assisted Living Facility in Kingsport, Tennessee. He was born October 15, 1934 to the late Lloyd Parker Sr. and Virgie Morefield Parker.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Diniah; daughter, Nancy Zorala; sister, Shirley Wood; and brothers, Lloyd Parker Jr. and Dallas Parker. 

Charles was a United States Army Veteran. He enjoyed playing rook, his farm animals, gardening, squirrel hunting and watching Fox News. 

Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Marty Parker; sisters, Mary Shupe (Benny) and Barbara Sexton; grandchildren, Cody Parker, Steven Parker and Christopher Campbell; great grandchildren, Macey Parker and Willow Parker and several nieces and nephews. 

A funeral service for Charles will be conducted at 12:00 PM on Saturday, October 18, 2025 at Hux & Lipford Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM prior to the funeral service.  A graveside service will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with military honors accorded by the Johnson County Honor Guard. 

Pallbearers will be Tim Parker, Carroll Parker, Terry Parker, Cody Parker, Kenneth Wood, Dwayne Wood and Brian Shupe. 

Honorary pallbearer is Steven Parker.
