Chessie Mae Prillaman

Chessie Mae Prillaman, age 87, of 169 Village Square Lane, Mountain City, TN passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at her residence. She was born February 13, 1929 to the late Baxter Farmer and Tressie Campbell Farmer. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John Henry Prillaman, two brothers: Herbert and Hubert Farmer, and one sister, Maxine Stout. Chessie attended Southside Freewill Church and she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Mary Greer of Ashe County, NC, one son, Billy Gene Prillaman of Mountain City, TN, one sister, Janice Greer of Kannapolis, NC, two brothers: Walbert Farmer of Ashe County, NC and Allen Farmer of Newland, NC, one granddaughter, Deborah Greer of Ashe County, NC, and one grandson, Paul Greer of Mouth of Wilson, VA. Five great grandchildren, two great great great grandchildren, and her special caregiver Helen Price of Silver Angels.

Graveside service and interment will be Thursday, August 4, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from Reece Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Gary Gambill officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be Kyler Day, Paul Greer, Steven Greer, Keith Farmer, Terry Gambill, and Robert Rash.
