Chris Kay, age 82, of 1702 Shingletown Road, Mountain City, Tennessee passed away at her residence Saturday, June 7, 2008. She was the daughter of the late J. D. Howell and Annie Carpenter Howell. Chris was of the Southern Baptist Faith and her hobbies included crocheting, quilting, and crafts. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Kay, and one sister, EstelleWertz.
Survivors include her daughter: Nancy White and husband Richard of Mountain City, TN; three sisters: Ann Jackson and husband Jack of Seattle, WA; Mary Ruth Rounasville of Enid, MS; and Dorothy Boys and husband Ernie of Seattle, WA; one brother: Abbie Howell of Bowling Green, VA; two grandchildren: Jessica Kay Dishman and husband David of Mountain City, TN and Amanda C. Stout and husband Scott of Mountain City, TN; four great grandchildren: Madison Keen, Mitchell Keen, Piper Stout and Gauge Stout all of Mountain City, TN; several nieces and nephews; special friends: Michelle Sanderlin, Shawn Forrester and many others.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Honorary pallbearers will be Richard White, David Dishman, Shawn Forrester, Adventa Hospice Services Staff, Rita Walls, Sue Ann Hawkins, Brenda Reece, Dr. Daniel Jones and staff.
