Christopher F. Ballou

Christopher F. Ballou, age 60, of 423 Shoun Street, Mountain City passed away, Monday, May 16, 2005 in the Life Care Center, Elizabethton, TN. He was a native of Louisville, KY and was born December 23, 1944 to the late Joseph Ballou Sr and Christine Lewis Ballou. He was also preceded in death by a brother. He was a Architectural Designer, a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church in Louisville, KY where he taught Sunday school, a Bus driver and a youth project worker. He loved woodworking, sailing, bike riding, hiking and camping. Survivors include his wife; Betty Ballou of Mountain City, one daughter; Davina Reppond and husband Shawn of Butler, TN, two sons: Ronald Jones of Mountain City and Michael Jones and wife Stacie of Louisville, KY. Two brothers, Joseph Ballou Jr and wife Evelyn of Corydon, Indiana and Humphrey Ballou of Atlanta, GA. Five grandchildren and one great-grandchild, several nieces and nephews also survive. Special friend, Marguerite McAnnally of Mountain City. A memorial service will be conducted 8:00 p. m. Friday, May 20, 2005, from the Henson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Harry Wills and Rev. Norman Reece to officiate. Music will be under the direction of Donna Fritts The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:00 p. m. at the funeral home prior the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis or Alzheimer Foundation. Friends may call at the family residence, 423 Shoun Street, Mountain City at anytime.
