Clara Louise Bonham

September 7, 1925 — November 3, 2011

Clara Louise "Nanny" Bonham, age 86, 3570 Sink Valley Road, Butler, TN passed away in the Life Care Center of Elizabethton, TN on November 3, 2011 after a brief illness. She was a member of the Bakers Gap Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late Charles Franklin Doll and Emma Jackson Stokes Doll. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James William Bonham, Sr. Four sisters, Margaret Brown, Ruth Sipe, Nell Willams and Charlotte Doll and two brothers, Albert Doll and Wilmer Doll. Her hobbies were scrapbooking with greeting cards and photos. Mrs. Bonham is survived by two daughters, Emma Sue Myers and husband Kenneth of Butler, TN and Wanda Jean Winterrowd, Holy Oke, Colorado; one son, James William Bonham, Jr. and wife Wanda, Mountain City, TN. One sister, Gertrude Huber, Pecquea, PA. and one brother, Bisker Doll and wife Lee, White Hall, MD. Eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, eleven great great-grandchildren, five great, great great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 7, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. from the East Side Memory Chapel, Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. James Richardson officiating. The family will receive friends Monday, November 7, 2011 from the East Side Memory Chapel, Hux-Lipford Funeral Home from 12:00 until 1:00 p.m.prior to the service. Graveside service and interment will follow in the Bakers Gap Cemetery. Active pallbearers are James Bonham, Wayne Kumm, Christopher Kumm, Preston Case, Jr., Bud Keys and Jessie Woods. Honorary pallbearers are Preston Lee Case, Sr. and Kenneth Myers. Friends may call anytime at 130 B. Old Butler Rd, Mountain City, TN.
