Obituary for: Dean Hawks Dean Hawks age 70, of Mountain City, Tennessee and formerly of Shady Valley, Tennessee passed away on Friday October 11, 2013. He was the son of Beatrice "Bea" Roark Hawks of Mountain City, Tennessee and the late Howard "Hawkie". Mr. Hawks attended Shady Valley Presbyterian Church. His hobbies were working on cars, hunting and fishing. Survivors in addition to his mother include: one son Johnny Dean Hawks and Fiancé Becky Grabowski; one sister Diane Hawks of Mountain City, Tennessee; one grandchild; three great grandchildren. Special friends: Perry Erickson, Big Tom Garland, Tommy Sluder, Roy Walton, Kenny Walton, Cowboy, and Gerald Dodgion. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, October 18, 2013 from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Doug Stidham officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. prior to the funeral service. Graveside service will follow in Shady Valley Memorial Gardens accorded by the Johnson County Honor Guard.
