Clifford Triplett, age 66, of 1170 Triplett Road, Mountain City, Tennessee passed away Friday, November 28, 2003 at the Johnson City Medical Center following an extended illness. A native of Freeburn, Kentucky, he was born April, 27, 1937 to the late John T. and Dollie Slone Triplett. Clifford was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter; Cathy Triplett, one son; Bronson Triplett, one sister; Lou Price and one brother; Jim Triplett. He enjoyed fishing, Cadillac cars and was of the Baptist faith. Clifford is survived by his Fianc; Jacqueline Hall of the home, one daughter; Laura Tipton of Pendelton, Indiana, one son; Mark Triplett,one step-son; Mitchell Scott, all of Mountain City, Tennessee, one step-daughter; Vanessa Scott of Johnson City, Tennessee, two sisters; Martha Blake and Margaret Adams, one brother; Johnny E. Triplett, three grandchildren; Daniel Winters, Bronson Triplett and Misty Triplett, one great-granddaughter; Sidney Winters all of Mountain City, Tennesee, several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Clifford Triplett will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, December 01, 2003 from the Chapel of the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Gambill and Rev. John Hammett to officiate. Family will receive friends 1-3:00 p.m. prior to service. Graveside Services will follow from the Triplett Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Josh Rich, Justin Garland, John E. Triplett, Danny Ray Wilson, JC Blake and Mike Cupeto. Honorary Pallbearers are Charlie McFadden, Walter Adams, Tom Wilson, Thomas D. Wilson and Mike Taylor. Friends may also call the residence of Clifford's sister Margaret Adams, 1121 Triplett Road, Mountain City, TN 37683. Donations may be made to the American Kidney Foundation, Johnson City, Tennessee.
