Connie Roark

Connie Roark, age 40, of 315 Stage Road, Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2005 at the Methodist University Hospital of Memphis, Tennessee. A native of Watauga County, North Carolina, she was born on December 25, 1964 to William G. "Bill" Roark of Shady Valley, Tennessee and Anita Woodard Roark of Mountain City, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by grandparents: Roby and Hassie Woodard; Pauline Donelly, Paul Roark and a 1st cousin, Doug Stout. Connie was a 1983 Graduate of Johnson County High School. She attended Southside Freewill Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and spending time with family and friends. Connie was a loving, caring person who loved everyone. In addition to her parents, Connie is survived by one brother, Kenneth "Kenny" Roark of Mountain City, Tennessee; special Aunt, Ruby Stout; uncle, Johnny Woodard, both of Mountain City, Tennessee; one nephew, Nathaniel Roark, also of Mountain City, Tennessee, several cousins and many, many special friends. Funeral Services for Connie Roark will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 20, 2005 from the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Frank Woods, Rev. Leon Bryant and Rev. Lola Hess to officiate. Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Park. Active Pallbearers are: Barton Taylor, Bill Taylor, Willis Lewis, Russell Barlow, John Woodard and Bob Stout. Honorary Pallbearers are: Grady Stout and Nathan Roark. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 19, 2005, at the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home Chapel.
