We are saddened to announce the passing of Cora Ann Broseker, age 80, on Wednesday, September 13, 2023 at her residence. She was born March 6, 1943, to the late Claire Edward Gensler Sr, and Janet Rose Campanaro in Altoona, PA. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Earl Broseker: also, granddaughter Gina Chalmers, brother, Tommy Gensler and her dog Grizz.

She loved Cooking, Baking, Shopping, Sewing, and watching the Golden Girls.

Before retiring she formally worked at Mountain City Care Center in food service.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Patricia Wilson and husband, John of Johnson City, TN; Son J.B. Broseker and wife Tammy, of Mountain City, Tennessee; Sister, Brenda Miller, Pa; brothers, Eddie Gensler, of Ca. Johnny Gensler, of S.C. grandchildren Mark Smith, Raleigh, N.C. Tabitha Smith, Boone, N.C. and James Broseker, Mountain City, TN. Her cat Reecie; Special friends, Jean Miller, Harrison Bowman and Margo Greenwell.

Services for Cora will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at 8 pm in the Charles B. Hux Chapel at Hux & Lipford Funeral Home with Terry Steel officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 pm prior to the service.

The family would like to say a special Thank You to Melissa Stanley, the Amedysis Hospice Team, the staff at NECX and Dan Lipford.
