Dale Allen Sluder

Dale Allen Sluder (age 61) of Mountain City, Tennessee passed from this life unexpectedly Monday, February 5th, 2024. Dale was born in Banner Elk, North Carolina on July 3rd, 1962. He was an Army veteran spending his time in service as a mechanic. He was hard-working, traveling the country as a truck driver for most of this life. He spent his spare time painting and sketching beautiful landscapes and tinkering. He had a love of American history and was always researching new interesting things. Dale always offered a calm voice in the midst of chaos and gave a wise word when it was needed the most. Any time there was worry about tomorrow, he always reminded us that we would “cross that bridge when we get there”. He raised three beautiful children who were the pride of his life. He spent 31 years with the love of his life, Regina. He was preceded in death by his parents, Barbara Sluder and James Kenneth Sluder and his son, Jacob Sluder. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Regina Sluder and daughters Brittany Arnold (Todd) and Kari Proffitt (Jason). Grandsons, Noah Proffitt and Ethan Arnold. Along with many other family and friends. A private graveside service will be held with military honors to be accorded by the Johnson County Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be David Adams, Bob Price, Buck Cornett, Waco Perkins, Tom South, John Hammett, and Carl McCartney. Honorary pallbearer will be John Furr.
