Dallas Grayson Meadows, age 79, of 2274 Waters Road, Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee went home to be with her Family and her Lord on Friday, December 17, 2004 at the Bristol Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. A native of Johnson County, Tennessee, she was born on June 18, 1925 to the late G.B. and Francis Fannie Mahaffey Grayson. Dallas had also lived a number of years in Maryland and Delaware. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Welby Carlos Meadows, who passed away in 2002, one daughter, Rosa Mae Meadows; two sons, James E. Meadows and Walter C. Meadows; two sisters and three brothers. She was a homemaker and had been a volunteer for the Meals on Wheels for a number of years in Maryland. She loved cooking, reading, the outdoors, board games and wrote many poems. Dallas was a member of Pleasant Home Baptist Church, where she also had taught Sunday School. Dallas is survived by one daughter, June Marie Hubbert and husband David of Laurel Bloomery , TN; two sons, Charles F. Meadows and wife Carolyn of Butler, TN and Randy Meadows and wife Daphne of Laurel Bloomery, TN; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and a number of special friends. Funeral Services for Dallas will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 21, 2004 from the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Bowers, Rev. R.D. Watson and Rev. Doug Stidham to officiate. Graveside Services and Interment will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 22, 2004 from the Sunset Memorial Park The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 21, 2004, prior to Services, at the Funeral Home Chapel.
