Danny Ray "Pink Floyd" Buchanan

Danny Ray "Pink Floyd" Buchanan,  beloved and well-known in his community, passed away at his residence on April 1, 2026. Born on September 12, 1962, Danny's vibrant spirit and kind nature touched the lives of many who had the privilege to know him.

Danny was  a true enthusiast of Harley Davidson motorcycles, he possessed an impressive knowledge of every detail related to these machines. His love extended beyond modern bikes to include antique motorcycles and bicycles, which he enjoyed working on meticulously. Danny also loved spending time with his friends, working in his garden, and strumming his guitar, activities that brought him immense joy throughout his life.

He is survived by his sisters, Rebecca Hawkins and her husband Terry, and Shirley Salyer; his brother, Mike Repp and  wife Amber; his half sisters, Ladonna Bradley and husband Tim and Ava Rhymer and husband Tommy; and his nephews and nieces: Matt Johnson, Will Hawkins, Christopher Sutherland, Cammy Chandler, Angel Hodge, and Amber Lunceford; special great niece, Khloe Hodge; special cousins, Patience Baird and Velvet "Maggie" Waycaster; several cousins on his dad's side of the family. In addition to his family, Danny leaves behind a host of friends who will forever cherish his memory.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny Arter Buchanan and Lois Mae Bowers; grandmother, Dana Jestie Buchanan, as well as his brothers, David Buchanan and Herbie Nichols.

 A funeral service for Danny will be conducted on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at 12:00 p.m. at Hux & Lipford Funeral Home with Gary Bowman to officiate.  The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service.   A graveside service will immediately follow at Buchanan Cemetery. 

Pallbearers will be Michael "Reaper" Vickers, Michael "Cowboy" Grayson, Ronny "Wings" Shelton, Dan Lipford, Dale Owens.

Honorary pallbearers are the Ghost Riders and the Johnson County Knights. 

In lieu of flowers, monetary donations may be made to Hux & Lipford Funeral Home to assist with the services. 

Danny  will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew him. May his soul rest in peace.
