David Hampton Martin

David "Pappap" Martin, age 56, of 2030 Cold Springs Road, Mountain City, TN passed away Friday, June 24, 2011 at his residence. He was born in Pottsville, PA to Sara Martin. David graduated from J.W. Cooper High School in Shenandoah, PA. Mr. Martin was a member of First Christian Church and his hobbies included fishing, hunting, and he especially loved being with his grandkids. He was a United States Army veteran. In addition to his biological mother, Sara Martin, and stepparents Mae and Michael Pleva, he was preceded in death by a brother: Christopher Pleva. Survivors include: daughter, Lisa Pennington and husband Chad of Mountain City, TN; sisters: Lisa Rank, Linda Pleva and Louann Pleva, all of PA; brothers: Michael "Butch" Pleva and Anthony Pleva, both of PA; grandchildren: Tia Pennington, Noah Pennington and Asia Pennington, all of Mountain City, TN; several nieces and nephews and his special friend: his dog Max.
