Dean Lipford

Elmer “Dean” Lipford, known as Dean to all, he never knew a stranger. Dean was a truck driver and loved every mile he put in for the 20 plus years of service. He loved the flea market and to trade and sell guns, tools, and you name it. If you wanted something or were looking for something specific he could more than likely find it for you. He loved doing what he wanted too. To his family and to the people he loved he would always help and be there when he was needed. He never wavered on how he felt for his family and the people he loved.

Dean is survived by his sisters Barbara Pyle of Abingdon, Va. Karen Selfe of Abingdon, Va. he’s also survived by his children Tina Allen of Mountain City, Tn. Dean Lipford Jr of Mountain City, Tn. Chasity Blevins of Damascus, Va. Kristy Torres and husband Miguel Torres of Ocala, Fl. Andrew Lipford of Abingdon, Va. He is also survived by many beloved Grandchildren. He is also survived by honorary friends Bill Steenken of Georgia. Bill was a long time friend and trucking buddy.

Mike smith of Bristol, Va. Mike is a honorary brother to Dean and was like family. Roy Dunn of Mountain city, Tn. Roy is a lifelong friend and first cousin.

Dean is proceeded in death by his parents Edmond L. Lipford and Bessie F. Farmer Lipford. He is also proceeded in death by his children Gary Lipford and Carl Dean Lipford.

A Memorial service for Dean will be held at Hux & Lipford Funeral home in Mountain city, Tennessee on September 14th from 3:00-4:00pm..

The family would like to thank Holston valley medical center and the doctors and nurses who helped take care of Dean. The family would also like to thank all those who called, those who came to visit and checked in on him while he was there.
