Dean L. Taylor, age 57, of 1928 Red Brush Road, Mountain City, TN passed away, Wednesday March 30, 2005 at his residence following a brief illness. He was a native of Johnson County and was born January 25, 1948 to the late Ira Taylor and Bonnie Taylor of Mountain City. He was also preceded in death by his twin sister Jean Killingsworth. He was a mechanic at the Trading Post for 26 years, was a member of the Ackerson Creek Christian Church, and a member of the Masonic Lodge # 243 F & AM. Dean was an Army veteran and loved playing the guitar, woodcarving, ginseng hunting and car racing. Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife: Barbara Dotson Taylor, of Mountain City, one daughter: Angie Eastridge and husband Tommy of Laurel Bloomery, TN, two sons: Deanie Taylor Jr. and John Nelson and wife Wendy all of Mountain City, four grandchildren, Ashley Taylor, Adam Deyton, Frankie Nelson and Katie Taylor, special niece Suann and husband Eddie Taylor of Mountain City, special friends: Joe Parker, Fred Duncan, Matt Smith, Tim Furches, Davis Wisman and Mike Warden. Funeral Services for Dean L. Taylor will be held at 2;00 p. m. Friday, April 1, 2005 from the Henson Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Phil Winters and Mr. James Gentry to officiate. Music will be under the Direction of Kerry Gentry and Sharon Winters. Masonic and Military graveside service will be in the Dotson Parks Cemetery, Trade, TN. Pallbearers will be: Bill Dotson, Davey Wisman, Tommy Eastridge, Deanie Taylor Jr, John Nelson, Michael Greer, Eddie Taylor and Bud Taylor. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Johnson County Rescue Squad, 203 Vandilla Street, Mountain City or the Relay for Life c/o of Flora Bellamy, 3510 Highway 421 N, Mountain City, TN 37683. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2;00 p. m.
