Debra Brown

Debra "Deb" Brown, age 59, of 262 Reece Hill Rd, Mountain City, TN passed away Sunday, March 2, 2014 at her residence. She was a former employee of Timberland Shoe Plant. She was born January 5, 1955 to Hugh Walker and the late Lena Kate Walker. Her hobbies were cooking and reading and she was a member of Locust Gap Baptist Church and a former Sunday School Teacher. Survivors include: her husband of 42 years, Rocky Brown of Mountain City, TN; father, Hugh Walker, Mountain City, TN; four sisters, Donna Cooper, Johnson City, TN; Mona Shatley, Carol Perkins and Dorothy Brewer of Mountain City, TN; two brothers, Wayne Walker and Bill Walker of Mountain City, TN. Several nieces and nephews and special friends, Amanda Burrell Potter and Betsy Walker also survive. Funeral services for Debra Brown will be conducted 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2014 from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home, Mountain City, TN with Rev. Shannon Courtner officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Graveside services will be Thursday, March 6, 2014 from the Brown Cemetery, Mountain City, TN. Pallbearers are Ed Walker, Jay Walker, Dwayne Potter, James Brewer, Jeff Wilcox, Michael Trivette, Mikey Lyle, Scott Wine and John Yates. Honorary pallbearers are Bob Garland and Marsh Davis.
