Dennis Ray Fritts

Dennis Ray Fritts, age 68, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at Mountain City Care and Rehabilitation Center. He was born July 13, 1957 in Pensacola, Florida.

Dennis was the son of the late Otis Marsh Fritts of Sugar Creek and Daisy Marie Hudson of Aransas Pass, Texas.

Dennis is survived by his sisters, Sallie Schultz of Summerville, SC, Sherri Fritts-Matz of Mountain City, Tennessee, and Susan Lovitt of Jacksonville, Florida.

Dennis, also know as Friitts the Cat, was a graduate of Goose Creek High School, class of 1976.  He served in the United States Army. He was a true outdoorsman with a deep passion for the University of South Carolina Athletics - Go Gamecocks. He never married nor had children. but will be dearly missed by eleven nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service for Dennis will be conducted at 1:00 pm on sunday, June 28, 2026 at Hux & Lipford Funeral Home with Daniel Jones to officiate. Military honors will be accorded by the Johnson County Honor Guard.

Dennis is sadly missed and loved by his family and friends.
