Obituary for Devon (Von) Eller

 

Mr Devon (Von) Eller, age 81 of 1350 Berry Branch Road, Mountain City, TN went home to be with The Lord Sunday November 2, 2008 at the Sycamore Shoals Hospital Elizabethton, TN. He was a native of Ashe County, NC . Mr. Eller was preceded in death by his mother Nannie Mae Eller, a daughter Sandra Kay Proffitt, a grandson Richard Proffitt, and a sister Hettie Eller. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, a Deacon, Sunday School Teacher, and an ordained Baptist Minister, He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #243 F &AM in Mountain City.

 

Survivors are Wife Louise Eller of the home.

                       2 Daughters, Betty Jo and Delmer Icenhour, Mountain City

                                             Jean and Willis Walker, Mountain City,

                        2 Sons, Tommy and Nancy Eller, Mountain City,

                                      Danny and Carolyn Eller, Mountain City,

                         Grandchildren, Eric Walker,Andrea Johnson,Michael Icenhour,Kevin Icenhour,James and Richard Eller, Jadie and Chelsea Matheson ,Kevin Mullis, David Mullis, Chequita Meade, 15 Great Grandchildren, 1 Great-Great Grandson, Several nieces and nephews..

 

 

Funeral Service for Devon Eller will be conducted at 8:00 PM Wednesday November 5, 2008 from the Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Michael Icenhour and Rev. Frank Johnson officiating.

Music will be by the church choir.

Pallbearers will be, Kevin Icenhour, Eric Walker, Billy Johnson, Burnice Eller, Jack Eller and Bob Eller.

Honorary pallbearers will be The mens Sunday School Class of Calvary Baptist Church.

Grave side service and burial will be at 11:00 AM Thursday at the Phillippi Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday at Calvary Baptist Church or at the residence 1350 Berry Branch Road Mountain City, at any time.
