Bowman, age 89, of 10716 Hwy. 67 West, Mountain City, TN, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2002 at his residence. Mr. Bowman was a native of Butler, TN and a son of the late David Clayton and Deliah Smith Bowman. He was a retired machine operator in Cleveland, Ohio and a member of First Baptist Church. Mr. Bowman was a US Army veteran and was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Reece Bowman in 2000, two brothers, and two sisters. Survivors: (1) Brother: Carroll and wife Mary Bowman, Butler, TN Several Nieces and Nephews Brother in Law: Jack Dugger Sister in Law: Lillian Dugger Hux-Lipford Funeral Home is in charge of the Arrangements. Funeral services for Don N. Bowman will be conducted at 8:00 P.M. Saturday, November 30, 2002 at the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ray Greene and Rev. Norm Reece to officiate. Pallbearers will be Nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be Jack Muse, Dr. Jim Shine, Nancy Wills, and Dr. Kahn. Music will be under the direction of the Sugar Grove Quartet. Interment will be at 11:00 A.M. Sunday, December 1, 2002 in the Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, for those who desire, memorials may be made to the Johnson County Rescue Squad, 203 Vandilla Street, Mountain City, TN 37683.
