Donald Eugene Haddix

Donald Eugene Haddix, age 75, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2011 in the Mountain City Care Center. He was the son of the late Eugene "Denton" Haddix and Mary Juanita Stepels Haddix. Mr. Haddix was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church in Paris, IL. He was a retired machinist with MECO in Parris, Il, a retired fire chief with Grandview Fire Department and a former Wal-Mart greeter. His hobbies included hunting and guns. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Haddix. Survivors include: two daughters: Rachel Haddix Leigh of Mountain City, TN and Rebecca Haddix Tibble of Butler, TN; one sister: Peggy Lewsader of Ridge Farm, IL; two brothers: Bud Haccix of Chrisman, IL and Mike Haddix of Metcalf, IL; one granddaughter: Samantha Rae McKinley of Mountain City, TN and one great granddaughter: Nicole Rae Brockwell of Mountain City, TN. A memorial graveside service with military honors will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 18, 2011 from Marshall Cemetery in Marshall, IL with Rev. Ray Roberts officiating.
