Donna Marie Worth

Listen to Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Donna Marie Worth at her home in Butler, Tennessee. She was born on January 19,1949 in Newport, Vermont to Theodore Gaylor and Grace Broome Gaylor.

Donna was raised in Springfield, Massachusetts where she graduated from Commerce High School. In the early 70’s she moved back to Vermont where her short-hand and typing skills landed her a job at OCCSA in Newport. She also bartended at the Anchor and the V.F.W. She was an active member of both the V.F.W. and the Fraternal Order of Eagles for several years. Before retiring, Donna worked for many years at MSA ballistic helmet factory where she proudly assembled the safety headgear for military and law enforcement.

Donna was a fun-loving, free spirit who appreciated nature’s beauty and all the simple things in life. She could be found riding along the backroads singing to some good old country tunes or road tripping across the country to Montana, a place she reminisced about often. Crocheting an afghan and playing Bingo with family and friends were things she enjoyed as well. She could make any place into a warm inviting home with thriving green house plants, inherited antiques and yard sale treasures and there was always a candy dish full of M&M’s. Her door was always open and warmly welcomed all who entered.

Donna spent her last years in Butler, Tennessee where the weather was warmer and the sun shined more often. Springtime made her happy to see her flowerbeds come alive. She enjoyed her morning coffee on the porch watching the wildlife, especially the deer. A variety of birds as well as hummingbirds flocked to her full feeders. She loved the birds as well as her cat, Alfredo, who she swore could talk to her.

Her spirit will live on through her children, Ann-Marie Judd of Sharon, VT, Ronald “Joel” Worth Jr. of Butte, MT, Anthony Worth of Butte, MT and Rebecca Worth of Trade, Tennessee

Donna is survived by her siblings: Pauline Loiselle, Jaqueline Gold, Theodore Gaylor Jr & wife Mary, Mary Caples, Vernal Gaylor & wife Sandy, Kim Gaylor & Peggy Lamonda. Each has cherished memories that spanned decades. She leaves behind her grandchildren: Amanda Blake, Shelby Poutre, Blake, Kaylee, Keyira and Brayden Worth, Cassandra Billingston, Katie and Kristen Williams, Tristan and Mia Worth and Kameron and Kaydance Melendez. Great grandchildren: Ryder, Kolten and Raye-Lyn Ferrin, Aliyah and Adalyn Poutre, Roman Rostad and Jordan White. As well as several nieces and nephews.

Donna was predeceased by her parents, her brother Bernard Gaylor, nephew Andrew young, grandson baby Tyler Worth and her husband’s Arthur Williams and Ronald “Mac” Worth.

Donna’s sudden departure leaves a void that will never be filled, but her memory will forever remain a blessing to those who loved her. May she rest in eternal peace, reunited with those who went before her and forever be embraced by the love she so richly deserved.

A private ceremony will be held in Montana and a celebration of life will be held in the coming days in Newport where friends and family will gather in her honor.

If you wish, Donations made in Donna’s honor to St. Jude’s would be appreciated as this was a charity that she had supported for many years.
