Donnie C. Potter Jr., born on September 20, 1963, in Elizabethton, Tennessee, passed away peacefully in his hometown on March 3, 2026. He was a devoted servant of the Lord and a member of God's House Full Gospel Church,
Donnie cherished spending time with his beloved grandbaby, Leigha Nicole Roark, who brought immense joy to his life. His love for family extended beyond blood; he nurtured lasting relationships with many friends who became like family to him.
He is survived by his wife who was the love of his life, Rhonda Potter; his daughter, Jamie Star Dew; his sisters, Penny Perkins (Frank), Helen Church (Bob), Judy Pass (Danny), and Edith Wilson (Harold); his mother-in-law, Rebecca Kay Holt (Ernie); along with several nieces and nephews. Among his special friends are Daniel Branch, Lynn Bennett (Caroline), Jerry Davis (Rosie), Judy Bennett, and Margaret Woods, all of whom will deeply miss his kind presence.
Donnie had a passion for fishing and deer hunting, pursuits that allowed him to appreciate the beauty of nature and spend quality time with loved ones. He will be remembered for his warm spirit and love for church and family.
The family will receive friends on March 7, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at God's House Full Gospel Church located at 1410 W. G St., Elizabethton, TN 37643. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM with Jerry Davis and Lynn Bennett to officiate. A graveside service will immediately follow the funeral service at the Doc Potter Cemetery in Elizabethton, Tennessee.
Donnie C. Potter Jr. leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and cherished memories that will remain in the hearts of all who knew him. His parents, Troy James Potter and Dorothy Mae Brown Potter, along with his brother, Russell Ray Brown, predeceased him and are now reunited in peace.
