Dora K. Potter

Dora K. Potter age, 92 of 729 Drakes Creek Road, Trade, TN went home to be with her Lord on June 24, 2011 from the Mountain City Care Center. She was a lifelong resident of Johnson County, a daughter of the late Willett and Ellen Canter. Mrs. Potter was an avid gardener, seamstress, cook, painter, and devoted wife and mother. She was a member of the Evergreen Baptist Church and her Church meant the world to her. Mrs Potter was wife to the late Charlie Potter, mother to the late A Fred Potter, sister to the late Lettie Miller, Carolee Porter, and Ruby Canter all of Trade, TN. Survivors are, 3 daughters, Mary Jo Rector, Taylorsville, NC Pearl Hower, Nell Harper, both of Oxford, PA Sister, Billie Proffitt, Mountain City, TN 14 Grandchildren, 9 Great-Grandchildren, 3 Great-Great Grandchildren, Several nieces and nephews . Funeral services for Dora Potter will be conducted at 3:15 PM Sunday June 26, 2011 from the Our Hero's Chapel of the Johnson County Funeral Home, with Rev. Tony Potter, Lisa Hower, and Kitty Hegemann officiating. Pallbearers will be, Selected from friends, and relatives. Burial will follow in the Phillippi Cemetery The Family will receive friends from 1 to 3 PM Sunday prior to the service.
