Hux-Lipford Funeral Home 300 West Main Street Mountain City, TN 37683 Phone: (423) 727-9221 Fax: (423) 727-4759 Obituary for: Dora Deane Stalcup Dora Deane Stalcup, age 93, of 870 Barren Road, Chuckey, Tennessee, formerly of Mountain City, passed away Monday, May 21, 2007. She was born October 12, 1913, in Vilas, North Carolina, to the late Ed and Ella Glenn Sherwood. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Stalcup, four sisters and three brothers. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Mountain City. Ms. Stalcup was a former employee of REA, Unemployment Office, and a VBS and Primary Sunday School teacher at First Baptist Church in Mountain City. She and her husband Ed prepared income taxes for Farm Bureau for many years. She also enjoyed reading. She is survived by: one daughter, Nancy Stalcup, Marietta, Georgia; two sons, Mike Stalcup, Bristol, Virginia; Ed Stalcup and wife Rita, Chuckey, Tennessee, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Dora Deane Stalcup will be conducted 7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 24, 2007, from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel with Rev. Ricky Campbell officiating. Music will be provided by Greg Ruspon and Dean Palmer. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will be held Friday, May 25, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Park in Mountain City. Active pallbearers will be Mike Stalcup, Ed Stalcup, Mike Shupe, Greg Ruspon, Dean Palmer and Danny Sherwood. Honorary pallbearers will be Staff of Laughlin Health Care Center, Greeneville, Tennessee, and Hospice Staff. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tri State Children's Home, P. O.
