Doris G. Beaty

Doris G. Beaty, age 96, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2008 at Mountain City Care Center, Mountain City, Tennessee after an extended illness. She was the daughter of the late Lewis H. Wasdin and Lizzie Higginbotham Wasdin. Ms. Beaty was a member of Mountain City Church of Christ. Her hobbies included gardening, sewing and reading and she was a former member of the Johnson County Senior Citizens Advisory Board. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bailum Alexander Beaty; two daughters, Donna Rash and  Lounelle Rebman; and son, Charles E. Beaty.

 

Survivors include one daughter, Helen Czeska of Lake Zurich, IL; three granddaughters: Terry Warden of Laurel Bloomery, TN, Debbie Fiddler of Morrow, GA and Susie Kaimakis of Wauconda, IL; three grandsons: David Whisman of Laurel Bloomery, TN, Steven Kruger of Barrington, Il, and Joseph Beaty of Atlanta, GA; twelve great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.

 

Funeral services for Doris G. Beaty will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 2, 2008 from the Mountain City Church of Christ with Mr. Darrell Broking officiating. Pallbearers will be David Whisman, Sr., Robert Czeska, Jay Warden, Matthew Warden, David Whisman, Jr., and Willie Phipps. Entombment services will follow in Sunset Mausoleum of Love. The family will receive friends from 12:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the services.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Mountain City Church of Christ, 432 D Reece Road, Mountain City, Tennessee 37683.
