Dorothy "Dot" Mae Potter, age 75, of 560 Grindstaff Road, Butler, Tennessee passed away, Thursday, July 3, 2003, in the Johnson City Medical Center, Johnson City, Tennessee. She was a native of Johnson County and was born September 1, 1927 to the late Stacy and Cora Elizabeth Phillips Brown. She was preceded in death by a brother, J. C. Brown and a sister, Jane Campbell. Mrs. Potter was a homemaker and a member of the Sink Valley Baptist Church Survivors: (4) Daughters: Helen Church, Nashville, Tennessee Judy Pass, Butler, Tennessee Edith Wilson, Mountain City, Tennessee Penny Perkins, Butler, Tennessee (2) Sons: Russell Brown, of the home Donnie Potter, Butler, Tennessee (2) Sisters: Maudean Inman, Indiana Bertha Roark, Bristol, Virginia (4) Brothers: Ralph Phillips, Elizabethton, Tennessee Jim Phillips, Elizabethton, Tennessee Carol Phillips, Conover, North Carolina Darrell Phillips, Elizabethton, Tennessee Eleven Grandchildren Three Great Grandchildren Several Nieces and Nephews Hux-Lipford Funeral Home in charge of the Arrangements. Funeral services for Dorothy "Dot" Mae Potter, age 75, of 560 Grindstaff Road, Butler, Tennessee will be held 2:00 P. M. Sunday, from the Chapel of the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Phillips and Rev. Harvey White to officiate. Burial will be in the Dot Potter Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Travis Wilson, Danny Pass Jr., Chris Church, Toby Wilson, Wayco Perkins, Daniel Potter, Trenton Wilson, and Gary Phillips Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Johnson City Medical Center Nursing Staff of the 5th Floor. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Johnson County Rescue Squad, 203 Vandilla Street, Mountain City, Tennessee The family will receive friends from 7:00 till 9:00 P. M. Saturday at the Funeral Home Chapel. Friends may also call at the residence anytime. Hux-Lipford Funeral Home is in charge of the Arrangements.
