Dorothy Mae Fletcher Potter, age 75, of 227 Little Dry Run Road, Butler, Tennessee went to be with her Lord on Saturday, August 11, 2007 at Johnson City Medical Center following a brief illness. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Belva Cardwell Fletcher. Dorothy was a member of Dyson Grove Baptist Church and she loved quilting and gardening. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Potter, Sr; one sister, Mavis Rainbolt and two brothers, Rev. Carroll Fletcher and Walter Fletcher. Survivors include five daughters, Marie and husband Jerry Mahala of Mountain City, TN, Sandra and husband Kenneth Miller, Lois Potter, Delores and husband Larry Hawkins, Betty and husband Jeff Hodge; three sons, Lloyd Jr, and wife Reba Potter, Dennis Potter and Mick Potter all of Butler, Tennessee; three sisters, Annie Bradley, and Winnie and husband Earl Phillips both of Butler, TN and Mary Lee and husband Dwight Potter of Kingsport, TN; two brothers, Paul and wife Elouise Fletcher and Charles and wife Norma Jean Fletcher both of Butler, TN; five grandchildren; one great grandchild and special friends Scarlett Grindstaff and Rev. Greg Thompson and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Dorothy Mae Fletcher Potter will be conducted 7:00 p.m. Monday, August 13, 2007 from the Eastside Chapel of Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Fletcher officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 ? 7:00 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home. Graveside services and interment will be Tuesday, August 14, at 2:00 p.m. from Dyson Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Steve Tester, Don Brewer, Larry Grindstaff, Jack Bradley, Josh Hodge and Randall Fletcher. Honorary pallbearer will be J.D. Hayworth. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Johnson County Rescue Squad, 203 Vandilla Street, Mountain City, Tennessee 37683.
