Dorothy "Dot" Reece

Dorothy "Dot” Reece passed away on November 1, 2019 at the Sycamore Shoals Hospital, Elizabethton, Tennessee. Dot was born to the late Paul Sexton and Ruth Arnold on August 10, 1931 in Johnson County, Tennessee. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Tony Cress, her brother and sister, Ollie Presnell and Worley Sexton. Dot was a member of Liberty Christian Church. She loved cooking and spending time with her family. Those left to cherish her memory include her three daughters: Mary Perry of Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee, Shirley Grayson of Mountain City, Tennessee and Lisa Cress of Elizabethton, Tennessee, three sons: Joe Sexton of Sevierville, Tennessee, Johnnie Cress of Gatlinburg, Tennessee and Terry Cress of Newport, Tennessee, one sister: Ruby Earp of Lenior, North Carolina, two brothers: Lonnie Arnold and Connie Arnold both of Lenior, North Carolina, seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services for Dorothy will be held at the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of Hux & Lipford Funeral Home at 2:00pm on Sunday, November 3, 2019. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00pm prior to the service with Pastor Dwayne Dickson to officiate. Graveside services and burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Grandsons will be pallbearers: Steven Green, Luke Isbanioly, Ramzi Isbanioly, Terrence Dellinger.
