Obituary for Dot Crosswhite: Dot Crosswhite, age 95, formerly of Mountain City, passed away Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at Asbury Place Nursing Home in Johnson City, TN. She was the daughter of the late Roanzy and Mary Arney Long. Dot was a native of Johnson County and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She loved to cook and enjoyed company. Besides her parents she was proceeded in death by daughter, Pat Isaacs and son, John Crosswhite, four brothers, Lon Long, Mitch Long, Ed Long, and Bea Long, three sisters, Stella Roberts, Elsie Fredrick, and Reba Greene. Survivors include: Daughter: Jane Stout Mountain City, TN Son and daughter In-law: Joe and Betty Crosswhite Greenville, TN Son In-law: Carter Isaacs Butler, TN Brothers: H.R. Long Mountain City, TN John Long Butler, TN Grandchildren: Bud Crosswhite, Marsha Crosswhite Hybarger, Jeanie Stout Bower, Jim Crosswhite, and Missy Stout Haney Great Grand-children: Isaac Hybarger, Adam Hybarger, Thomas Bower, Robert Bower, Jake Bower, Jimmy Bower, Ethan Bower, Lauren Crosswhite, Leeann Crosswhite, Savannah Lewis, Ellis Haney, Carson Haney, and John Haney and several nieces and nephews. Services will be Saturday, January, 1, 2011 at 2:00p.m. In the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of the Hux-Lipford Funeral Home. The Rev. Frank Johnson will officiate. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 2:00p.m. Saturday, January 1, 2010. Burial will follow the service at the Shouns Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be Bud Crosswhite, Jim Crosswhite, Tim Hybarger, Tom Bower, Thomas Bower, Mike Long, and Robert Bower.
