Dot Kelley

Dot Kelley, age 77, of 520 Hickory Street, Mountain City, Tennessee went to be with her Lord on Thursday, February 25, 2010 in Watauga Medical Center in Boone, North Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Floyd E. Houston and Phoebe Wheelock Houston. Dot was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Her hobbies included reading, sitting on her porch and she also helped in a variety of civic organizations in New Hampshire. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters: Barbara Jean Zelle and Esther Paskell and one brother, Floyd E. Houston, Jr.

Survivors include: Her husband, Peter Kelley of the home; one daughter, Shana Jean Kelley Conard of St. Petersburg, Florida; one son, Dan Kelley of Manchester, New Hampshire. Three grandchildren: Cara Graton of New Hampshire, Alexa Conard and Illea Conard both of St. Petersburg, Florida. Several nieces and nephews also survive along with her special friends, the family of church members of Pleasant Grove.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Sunday, February 28. 2010 from Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Norman officiating. Graveside and interment will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be men of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm prior to the funeral service.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Benevolent Fund, %Celeste Dunn, 552 Roan Creek Road, Mountain City, Tennessee 37683.

At other times friends may call at the residence 520 Hickory Drive at anytime.
