Douglas Edward Sheets

Douglas Edward Sheets, age 66, of Fort McCoy, FL passed away Saturday, July 6, 2024, He was the son of Violet Koley and Marvin Ollar Sheets. Doug loved helping others, fishing, his Harleys and being a free spirit. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Charles Alan “Al” Sheets. He is survived by his sons: Marvin (Tara) Sheets of Iowa; Eddie (Johnette) Covington of Louisiana; sister: Liz Hoskinson; brothers: Ron Sheets, Phil Sheets and Marlin Sheets all of Illinois and Christopher Sheets of Tennessee; three grandchildren: William Covington, Chloe Sheets and Kaitlyn Sheets; as well as several nieces and nephews. Graveside service for Douglas will be held Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Pleasant Grove Baptist church. The family will receive friends at Hux & Lipford Funeral Home from 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm prior to the graveside service then go in procession to the graveside.
