Dwight Johnson

Dwight Johnson, age 52, of Butler, TN passed away Monday, August 13, 2012 in Franklin Woods Community Hospital in Johnson City, TN. He was a son of Eva Kate White Johnson and the late Troy Johnson. He was a member of Cobbs Creek Baptist Church and he loved collecting arrowheads. Survivors, in addition to his mother, include: two daughters: Eva Johnson and Emma Johnson, both of Hampton, TN; three sisters: Mary Howes and Teresa Wagner, both of Butler, TN and Bonnie Reece of Elizabethton, TN; five brothers: Bob Johnson, Jim Johnson, Doug Johnson, David Johnson, and Andy Johnson, all of Butler, TN and several nieces and nephews. His best friend Lisa Dugger,of Hampton, TN; special cousin Bob Johnson of Stoney Creek, TN; and goddaughter Aretha Force of Watauga, TN also survive. A memorial service will be held Thursday, August 16, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Alan Koch officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Johnson County Rescue Squad, 203 Vandilla Street, Mountain City, TN 37683 or Cobbs Creek Baptist Church, 150 Church Street, Butler, TN 37640.
