E. Harvey Eskridge, age 48, of 8107 Hwy 91 N Lot 20, Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, April 5, 2005 at the Missions Hospital of Asheville, North Carolina following a lengthy illness. A native of Lynchburg, Virginia, he was born on January 28, 1957 to the late James David and Virginia Louise Brickey-Eskridge. In addition to his parents, Harvey was preceded in death by one son, Michael Dean Eskridge. He was of the Baptist Faith. Harvey enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. He was an Army Veteran. Harvey is survived by his wife, Carol Widener Eskridge of the home; one daughter, Joy Reece and husband Brett of Mountain City, Tennessee; two sons, Mark Eskridge and wife Candace of Zionville, North Carolina and James Eskridge of Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee; two sisters, Patty McCallaster and Dreama Rouse; three brothers, David, Eddie and Curtis Eskridge, all of Virginia; four grandchildren, Mackenzie Brook Maze, Jennifer Ann Vestal, Kiley Z. Reece, Kaitlyn Eskridge; several nieces and nephews and special friends: Hubert and Rita Payne, Doug Icenhour and Kim and Dwayne Laws. Funeral Services for E. Harvey Eskridge will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, April 10, 2005 from the Hux-Tetrick Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Billy Morefield to officiate. Military Graveside Services and Interment will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 11, 2005 from the Veterans National Cemetery, Mountain Home, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 p.m. Sunday, prior to Funeral Services, at the Hux-Tetrick Funeral Home Chapel.
