Earl Campbell, age 74, of Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away at his residence on October 19, 2025. He was born September 21, 1951 to the late Bud Campbell and Lena Ruth Roark Campbell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Lena Marie Campbell;  step-sons, Rodney Eller and Joe Joe Eller; and grandson, Joseph Aron "Tinky" Furchess.

Earl dedicated much of his life as an ordained minister, serving his community with compassion and care. He also worked as over-the-road truck driver for an impressive 52 years, allowing him to explore many parts of the country. Additionally, he was skilled in logging, contributing to the industry with hard work and dedication.

In his personal life, Earl cherished spending time with his family. He was a devoted husband to his wife, Kathy Campbell, and a proud father to his daughters, Crystal Meadows (Britt) and Gracie Osborne (Luke), as well as his son, Eric Campbell (Crystal) and step-daughter, Heather Eller. He found joy in being a grandfather to Aleena, Nathaniel, Austin, and Tyler, sharing many special moments with them.

Earl was fondly remembered for his hobbies and interests. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and he had a passion for motorcycles, particularly Triumphs. In his early years, he loved riding and training horses, creating wonderful memories with his many favorite horses. Earl’s loyal companion, his dog Tucker, brought him much happiness.

Earl is survived by his siblings, Linda McQueen (David), Jerry Campbell (Pat), Rick Campbell (Kimra), Gerald Campbell (Patty), and Terry Campbell, along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins who also survive him.

A visitation for Earl will take place at Hux & Lipford Funeral Home on October 23, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM with Steven Spencer to officiate and Gracie Campbell to Eulogize.  Following the funeral service family and friends are asked to assemble at 1:45 PM at Shady Valley Memorial Gardens for the graveside service. At other times friends may call the residence at 516 Eller Road, Mountain City, Tennessee.

Pallbearers will be Nathaniel Summerow, Luke Osborne, Buddy Campbell, Britt Meadows, Rick Campbell and Gerald Campbell.

Honorary pallbearers are Jerry Campbell, Lynn Campbell and Terry Campbell.
