Earl J. Hayworth, age 87, of 164 Austin Drive, Rogersville, TN, passed away, Tuesday May 31, 2005 in the Rogersville Care & Rehab in Rogersville, TN. He was born May 19, 1918 to the late Andy and Lillie Simcox Hayworth and was also preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters. He was a retired services station owner and operator, a World War II Veteran having servied in the U.S. Army and former member of Johnson County Honor Guard, member of the V. F. W. post # 6908 and a member of the Nelson Chapel Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife: Mary Lou Hayworth of Rogersville, TN, one daughter; Kathy Bowles of Narrows, VA, one son; Steve and wife Tonya Hayworth of Rogersville, TN. Three grandsons: Logan and Joshua Hayworth of Rogersville, TN,and Brian Bowles of Virginia, one granddaughter; Misty Carter of Narrows, VA. Three great-grandchildren, several cousins also survived. Funeral services will be held 8:00 p. m. Friday from the chapel of the Henson Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Vannoy and Rev. Otto Giles ministers to officiate. Music will be under the direction of Nelson Chapel Church Choir. Military Graveside services and burial will be held 10:00 a. m. Saturday from the Dunn Memorial Cemetery accorded by the Johnson County Honor Guard. Pallbearers will be nephews: The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p. m. Friday at the Funeral Home Chapel.
