Earleen Melinda Arnold, age 73, of Mountain City, Tennessee passed away Sunday, September 2, 2007 at Glenbridge Health Care in Boone, North Carolina. Earleen was born July 17, 1934 to the late Noah Willis Miller and Nancy May Ragan Miller. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandchild. Earleen was a member of First Baptist Church, Mountain City, Tennessee. Survivors include: seven daughters: Rebecca Falls and husband Johnnie; Peggy Arnold Nichols and husband Michael; Ann Lewis, all of Mountain City; Phyllis Walls and husband Toby of White Top, Virginia; Margaret Dry of Pennsylvania; Martha Dowell and husband Barry of Independence, Virginia and Mary Lewis; six sons: Dickie Miller of Manassas, Virginia; Ross Miller and wife Deb of Alomar, North Carolina; Noah Arnold and wife Lois and Glenn Arnold and wife Sheila, both of Zionville, North Carolina; David Robert Arnold of Mountain City; John Arnold and wife Kathy of Laurel Bloomery, Tennessee. One sister, Sue Bearden and husband Travis of Georgia; two brothers: Ronald Miller and wife Glenda of Trade, Tennessee and Howard Miller and wife Iva Lee of Creston, North Carolina, nineteen grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and lots of friends also survive. Funeral Services for Earleen Melinda Arnold will be conducted Wednesday, September 5, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of Hux-Lipford Funeral Home. Officiating will be Norm Reece, Dan Church, and Ronnie Manuel. Graveside services and interment will follow at Reece Cemetery in Trade, Tennessee. The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 4, 2007 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel. Active pallbearers will be: Bradley Arnold, Sean Miller, Derrick Arnold, Charlie Weaver, Johnnie Falls, Keith Grindstaff, James McDaniel and John Wallace. Honorary pallbearers will be: ICU Staff of Watauga Medical Center, Johnson County Rescue Squad and Staff of Glenbridge Health & Rehabilitation Center. At other times friends, may call at the home of Glenn Arnold, 8042 Old US Highway 421, Zionville, North Carolina. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Johnson County Rescue Squad, 203 Vandilla Street, Mountain City, Tennessee.
