Edith Louise Horn

Edith Louise Horne, 88, of Mountain City passed away Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was born June 11, 1928 to the late Roby and Viola Roark Price. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Horne, three brothers: Will Price, Eula Price, and Huel Price, and six sisters: Loren Greer, Opal Knight, Lula Jones, Hazel Jones, Essie Greer, and Eart Price. Edith enjoyed cleaning, puzzle books, and watching TV.

She is survived by one daughter, Brenda Price and husband Oscar of Mountain City, one sister, Rosa Lee Knight of Wilkesboro, North Carolina, two grandchildren: Heather Smith and husband Sam of Mountain City and Jeff Price, also of Mountain City, three great grandchildren; Kristy, Tonya, and Tyler Smith and special niece Edna Price of Mountain City. Several other nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside service and interment will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 25, 2016 from the Phillippi Cemetery with Rev. Leonard Fletcher officiating.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Mountain City Care Center for taking such good care of Edith, especially 200 Hall; Lekisha, Helen, Melissa, Kim, Aleshia, Hope, Amber, and Sheila, whom she loved; and her niece Edith Price.
