Edna L. Robinson

Edna L. Robinson, age 70, of Shady Valley, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at Johnston Memorial Hospital in Abingdon, Virginia. She was a daughter of the late Tom Jenkins and Bessie Phillips Jenkins. Edna was a member of Harmon Chapel Christian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Danny Robinson, and two brothers: Bill Jenkins and Edward Jenkins. Survivors include: her husband, Brent Robinson, of the home; two daughters: Lisa Tipton and husband Chris of Shady Valley, Tennessee; Anita Beasley and husband Sid of Fleetwood, North Carolina; three sons: Tom Robinson and wife Fairy of Nashville, Tennessee; John Robinson and Janie and Michael Robinson all of Shady Valley, Tennessee; two sisters: Mary Gambill and Phyllis Morrison and husband Paul, all of Mountain City, Tennessee; one brother: Earl Jenkins of Shady Valley, Tennessee; special friends: Emma Weaver, Sue and Odell Wallace and many others. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Funeral services for Edna L. Robinson will be conducted Friday, January 18, 2008 at 12:00 p.m. from the Harmon Chapel Christian Church in Shady Valley, Tennessee with Mr. Jim Hutchinson officiating. Graveside and interment will follow in Blevins Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be: Shawn Ramsey, Travis Ramsey, Robert Shane Cornett, Pat Shatterly, Gary Robinson, Joe Shatterly, Brian McQueen and Drew Robinson. Honorary pallbearers will be: Austin Shatterly, Terry Hutchinson, Lowell Hutchinson, Marty Long, Joe Barlow, members of the Johnson County Rescue Squad, Lois and staff of Home Health Care. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 17, 2008 from 5:00 ? 7:00 p.m. with James Woods to deliver a eulogy at the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of Hux-Lipford Funeral Home.
