Edward E. Loyd

Edward E. Loyd, age 92, of 6670 Hwy 67 West, Mountain City, TN passed away Thursday, January 5, 2012 in Mountain City Care Center. He was the son of Eugene Loyd and Florence Shoun Loyd. Mr. Loyd was a member of Doe Valley United Methodist Church. He loved Tennessee Vols football, was an avid horseshoe player, a county magistrate for 12 years and a dairyman for 45 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law: Alta Loyd Wilson and Fred Wilson. He is survived by his wife, Jean Loyd; three daughters: Sharon Hart of Johnson City, TN; Barbara Church and husband Richard of Mountain City, TN and Jennifer Giles and husband Chuck of Fuquay Varina, NC; one son: Jonathan Loyd and wife Esther of Butler, TN; three grandchildren: Rafael Zabala III of Johnson City, TN; John David Loyd of Butler, TN and Olivia Giles of Fuquay Varina, NC.
