Elizabeth "Liz" Broch, age 65, passed away at her residence in Trade, Tennessee, on July 23, 2025. She was born on April 16, 1960, in Charleston, South Carolina to the late Leo Albert Zack and Ethel Zack.
As a proud member of the American Indian Heritage, Liz embraced her background and instilled a sense of pride in those around her. Her service in the United States Air Force exemplified her commitment to her country, and she carried that same dedication into her professional life as an independent insurance agent, where she provided guidance and support to many.
Liz enjoyed a variety of hobbies that reflected her vibrant personality and zest for life. She found joy in playing pool, delving into the intricacies of religion, riding motorcycles, and engaging in political discourse.
Liz is survived by her loving husband, Roger Broch; her son, Leo Zack; and her dear friends Pat and Patricia, Derwin, Bram, Wolf, Robbie and Trish, and Joseph Reid (PAC), who each brought joy and comfort to her life.
In recognition of the care and support she received, her family would like to extend heartfelt gratitude to Gentive Hospice, particularly Laura, R.N., the Watauga Medical Center ER Staff, and Watauga Medics. Their compassion and dedication provided comfort to Liz and her family during a difficult time. Additionally, they wish to thank Donald Snyder for his kindness, friendship, and support, as well as Kim Klein and the associates at Johnson County EMS, who played a significant role in her care.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Johnson County EMS.
It was Liz's wish to be cremated.
