Elizabeth Shull Mahan, age 94, of 919 Medical Park Drive, Mountain City formerly of Neva Community passed away, Friday, July 18, 2003, in the Mountain City Care Center. She was a native of Johnson County and was a Daughter of the late James A. and Rebecca McQueen Shull. She was preceded in death by her Husband of 64 years Boyce H. Mahan, a Son Charles I Mahan and a Grandson Christopher T. Mahan, also by (2) Brothers, Hal and Malcolm Shull, (3) Sisters Carolyn Hall, Sarah Miller and Virginia Shull. She was a Graduate of Watauga Academy and Carson Newman College and received her Masters Degree from Appalachian State University. She taught at Cleveland High School, Cleveland, Virginia, Watauga Academy, Butler, Tenn. And the Johnson County High School, Mountain City. She was a Member and Sunday School Teacher of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. Survivors: (2) Sons and Wives: James B. and Shelby Mahan, Butler, Tenn. Herbert C. and Melinda Mahan, Richmond, Virginia Daughter-in-Law: Charlotte Mahan, Bristol, Tenn. (1) Sister: Florence Shull Kloss, Bristol, Tenn. Grandchildren: Stephen and Douglas Mahan, Pamela Johnson, David and Mollie Elizabeth Mahan, Teresa Lesnak, Susie Jennings. 7 Great Grandchidlren 12 Nieces and Nephews Henson Funeral Home in charge of the Arrangements. Funeral services for Elizabeth Shull Mahan, age 94, of Neva Community, Mountain City will be held 3:00 P. M. Sunday from the Chapel of the Henson Funeral Home with Brother Bruce Simcox to officiate. Burial will be in the Brown Cemetery Pallbearers will be Nephews The family will receive Friends from 1:00 P. M. till 2:45 P. M. Sunday at the Funeral Home Chapel. In Lieu of Flowers donations may be made to the Brown Cemetery, % Bill Shull, 310 Big Dry Run Road, Mountain City, Gideons International, P.O. Box 155, Mountain City or the Diabetes Association, P.
