Elizabeth Sue Nixon, age 72, of 2000 Crossroads Drive, Mountain City, Tennessee, went home to walk on streets of gold on Monday, July 12,2004 after an extended illness. A native of Johnson County, she was born on May 11, 1932 to the late Emory Huskins and the late Mamie Ruth Gentry Huskins. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Donna Breeland, and one son, Stephen Earl Nixon. She was a homemaker and a member of God's Country Church. Elizabeth is survived by three daughters: Janet Lightner of Kalamazoo, Michigan; Brenda Wells and husband Danny of Valdese, North Carolina; Kim Borra and husband Paul of Sacramento, California; her honorary daughter: Shirley Watson of Boone, North Carolina; one son: Dwight David Nixon and wife Gabriele of Germany; two sisters, four brothers, nine grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. Funeral Services for Mrs. Elizabeth Sue Nixon will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 15, 2004 from God's Country Church with Mr. Ronnie Manuel officiating. The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 Thursday, prior to the services at God's Country Church. Graveside services will follow funeral services at the Phillippi Cemetery. Active Pallbearers will be family and friends. Honorary Pallbearers are: David Manuel, Larry Danner, Johnny Watson, and Darius Forrester. For those who wish to make a memorial contribution, donations may be made to God's Country Church, 1568 Crossroads Drive, Mountain City, Tennessee 37683.
