Ella Mae Dugger, age 90, "going on 91" of 2678 Dry Hill Road, Butler, Tennessee passed away Friday, November 2, 2007 at her residence after a brief illness. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Trula Cardwell Cable. Ms. Dugger was a member of Sugar Grove Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday School teacher. She loved gardening, farming, canning and cooking. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mark Dugger, in 1996; four sisters: Gladys Shuttle, Marie Tester, Mabel Cable and Beatrice Cable; three brothers: Harry Cable, Ronald Cable and Haskell Cable; and one special nephew, Willard Greenwell.
Survivors include one son, Earl (Ruth) Dugger of Butler, Tennessee; two brothers: Dennis Cable of Evansville, Indiana and Hollis Cable of Hampton, Tennessee; two grandchildren; Terry (Betty) Dugger and Melissa (George) Davenport, both of Butler, Tennessee; three great grandchildren: Toni Dugger, Marcus Davenport, and Jessica Davenport, all of Butler, Tennessee.
Funeral services for Ella Mae Dugger will be conducted Sunday, November 4, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. from the Sugar Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Ray Greene and Rev. Doug Ranshaw officiating. Graveside service and interment will follow in Sugar Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dave Tester, Tim Cable, J. D. Cable, Edward Cable, Dwight Lacy, Keith Cable, Terry Dugger and Silas Tester. Dr. John Whitlock, Jeremy Whisenhunt and deacons of Sugar Grove Baptist Church. The family will receive friends Saturday, November 3, 2007 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel.
