Ella Jean Lewis

Ella Jean Lewis, age 78, 1292 Stage Road, Mountain City, TN passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2014 in Sycamore Shoals Hospital following an extended illness. She was born June 8, 1935 in Johnson County to the late William Claude Tester and Dollie Mae Triplett Tester. She attended First Freewell Baptist Church and enjoyed reading her Bible, bird watching and flowers. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: R. L. Lewis; one brother: Bob Tester and three sisters: Margie Trivette, Arlene Burgess and Christine Morelock. Survivors include: one daughter: Diane Clark and husband Paul of Mountain City, TN; two sisters: Lois Tester of Mountain City, TN and Joyce Bradley and husband Jack of Butler, TN; one grandson: Adam Clark and wife Lauren of Leland, NC and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services for Ella Jean Lewis will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 10, 2014 from the Charles B. Memorial Chapel of Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Rev. Jack Morelock officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m.-2:30 p.m. prior to the funeral service. Graveside and interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Dennis Tester, Kenneth Rowman, Jeff Tester, Rick Rowman, Tim Bradley, Jeff Trivett, Rob Trivett, Jim Trivett and Kody Norris. Honorary pallbearers will be the Staff of Johnson County Home Health, with a special thank you to Charlene Blankenbeckler and Jessie Essick, and Dr. Floyd Barker.
