Ella Doris Pleasant

Ella Doris Pleasant, age 72, of 142 Butler Lane, Mountain City, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2006 at her residence. She was born on April 26, 1934 in Johnson County, Tennessee to Ira Dunn Curd of Mountain City, Tennessee and the late Alfred Curd. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Pleasant, four brothers: Blaine Curd, Harold Curd, Lynn Curd and Clay Curd; one sister, Adwina Arnold and one sister-in-law, Grace Curd. She enjoyed spending time doing crafts and sewing. Ella Doris was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to her mother, she is survived by one sister, Wanda Payne of Mountain City, TN; two sisters-in-law: Betty Curd of Mountain City, TN and Peggy Curd of Knoxville, TN; one brother, Carl Mast of Mountain City, TN; several nieces and nephews and many, many friends. Funeral Services for Ella Doris Pleasant will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. Friday, December 15, 2006 from the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel with Rev. Doug Stidham to officiate. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. on Friday, prior to the Services. Graveside Services and Interment will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 16, 2006 from the Dunn Memorial Park. Those attending Graveside Services are asked to assemble by 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, at the cemetery. At other times, friends may call at the residence of Ella Doris' mother, Ira Dunn Curd, 140 Butler Lane, Mountain City, Tennessee 37683.
